The CounterPlay Festival explores the role of play in society, and focus on supporting playfulness in all the areas where it’s being marginalized. CounterPlay ’16 takes place on April 14-16 2016.
The CounterPlay Festival explores the role of play in society, and focus on supporting playfulness in all the areas where it’s being marginalized. We see play as an essential part of being human, of mental and physical well-being, and as a fundamental catalyst of living happy lives for kids and adults alike. A playful state of mind helps you cope with adversity and connect with people; play is a mode of expression that raises questions, fuels creativity and inspires you to challenge the status quo.
Play and games can be used in marketing, experience design and culture, and organisational change both as a mean and as goal for playful experiences that elicit new meanings, perspectives, learnings, insights etc.
At CounterPlay ‘16, we invite you to participate in an open exploration of these and other ways of thinking and talking about play: through conversations, workshops and – most importantly – through play.
The festival is organized in collaboration with DOKK1 in Aarhus, Denmark, where it also takes place on April 14-16 2016.
